Question: Where Did Thoof.com Get Its Name?

That is a very interesting story indeed. If you didn't already know, Thoof.com is a new news aggregation site on the Internet. What makes it better than the rest is the method by which it delivers articles to its readers. Instead of relying on voting systems which can be manipulated, it provides articles based on the reader's interests. Every time you click on an article to read it, Thoof counts that click as a vote. Thoof then uses this information to predict which articles you would be interested in. It's as easy as that -- the more you read, the more Thoof learns.

So how did Thoof get its name? Well it all goes back to ancient Norse mythology. Thoof was the younger brother of the Thor, the god of thunder and war. Thoof, on the other hand, was the god of smiting antiquated news services. Newspapers, scrolls and tablets were his enemies. He instead wanted to provide his followers with dynamic news and information from all over the world, provided customized for each person. Anyone who tried to cross Thoof, met their demise in an unpleasant manner. Just check out this recently recovered painting of Thoof smiting a newspaper! Thoof.com does the same thing to modern day news and information. Thoof.com serves personalized news to each and everyone of its users, always learning and always improving!

For publishers Thoof.com is a great service because it allows you to submit your articles for free. And with each submission you get the ThoofRank badge to place on your post. This badge allows you to monitor how popular your post is with Thoof's readers.
